Osteopaths assist in recovery from pain and improving general
wellbeing through gentle "hands on" therapy and
advice on posture, activities of daily life, exercise and
stress management.
Osteopaths have completed 5 years of study at University
and are registered by the government before entering practice.
During your first consultation, your osteopath will ask
questions and examine you for any pathology or injury as
well as stiffness, weakness, strength and patterns of muscle
support.
The findings will be discussed with you to develop a treatment
plan that will assist recovery, reduce pain and improve
general well being. In addition strategies to prevent re-occurrence
will be worked out with you.
