Louise Adam DO M Ost Sc Post Grad Cert (Pilates Method)
Director and Osteopath
Louise uses a wide variety of “hands on” techniques such as massage, mobilisation, manipulation as well as exercise and advice to assist her clients reduce pain and improve wellbeing.
Louise has developed a special interest in assisting people break the cycle of longstanding and recurring pain. Emerging research has reinforced her impression that effective ‘hands on’ therapy combined with exercise therapy and better understanding of their condition often helps clients reduce pain and improved quality of life. This led to the establishment of the Solutions for Wellbeing Centre in Kiama which combines a variety of injury recovery and prevention services. Clients can choose any of the services offered for best results.
Louise has over 30 years experience assisting clients with pain and injury. Louise was registered as an osteopath in 1981 and established a pain and injury practice in Sydney before moving to Kiama in 2001.
Louise holds registration as an osteopath, a Masters in Clinical Practice and a Post Graduate Certificate in the Pilates Method of exercise. Louise is a past President of the Australian Osteopathic Association and current member of the NSW Government’s Osteopaths Registration Board. Louise has taught clinical practice at the University of Western Sydney where she has held the position of head of the Osteopathy program.
Julie Harrison B. App.Sc. (Osteo), M. Osteopathy
Julie is a keen sports woman involved in soccer and hockey. Julie has expertise in providing pain relieving treatments for older residents in a care facility. Julie offers both gentle and more direct “hands on” therapy and advice on home care to treat conditions that range from sports injuries to chronic pain.

Susan Downes B. Ex. Sc., Member ESSA, Exercise Physiologist, Osteopathic Assistant and Pilates Method Instructor
Susan is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia who has extensive experience in delivering progressive exercise programs. Her experience includes injury rehabilitation for motor vehicle accidents and work injuries; effective management of diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, arthritis; and to assist with weight management and general well-being.
Using the latest methods, Susan assists with a range of health conditions including diabetes, heart disease, sub-acute to chronic injury, arthritis, osteoporosis, depression, and obesity. We develop programs that fit your lifestyle and budget to help achieve your goals.
Eliza Edkins B. Ex. Sc., Member ESSA, Exercise Physiologist, Osteopathic Assistant and Pilates Method Instructor
Eliza is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia. Eliza joined the Solutions team because she loves working with the Kiama community and especially with older adults wanting to enjoy life to the full and get the most out of their bodies. Exercise therapy for osteoporosis, diabetes, fall prevention and general conditioning for older adults is a particular interest.
Eliza is a keen sports woman involved in running, swimming and gym classes. She understands the need to get back to your favourite activities as soon as possible and uses both exercise physiology and Pilates exercise to help clients achieve their goals.
Angela Scott Cert IV Fitness and Cert IV Fitness, Level 3 APMA certified Pilates Method Instructor and Osteopathic Assistant
Angela will be known to many Kiama locals as an energetic and caring fitness instructor and pilates teacher. Angela’s background includes both registration as a Fitness instructor in the areas of general fitness, exercise for children, adults and older adults as well as using pilates based rehabilitation exercise in a physiotherapy setting. Angela is excited to return to this interesting and rewarding area of activity – using the innovative equipment designed by Joseph Pilates as part of current best practice exercise therapy for injury recovery and prevention and wellbeing.
Reception and Practice Management Staff
Amanda Last, also a Kiama local, joins our centre as a physiotherapy and osteopathy assistant with a special interest in massage. Amanda has completed a Certificate 4 in Massage. Amanda shows her support for the community and wellbeing through her involvement in the LIfeFIX programs for youth and MS events.
Louise Jeffrey is a local Kiama identity known for her warmth, caring and kindness that has touched so many. Louise enjoys seeing many familiar faces and welcoming residents new to the area at Solutions. Outside Solutions, Louise is kept busy with her involvement in the Melanoma Foundation’s charity appeals.
