Chloe Harris, born in Kiama, recently returns to the South Coast from Victoria. Chloe graduated from Victoria University in 2010, whereby working in Melbourne and the Bellarine Peninsula for 6 years, treating a wide range of conditions, such as postural related pain, surfing injuries, manual labour associated pain and sporting injuries.

 

In addition to Osteopathy, Chloe has completed the renowned Pilates course through Polestar: The Comprehensive Rehabilitation Series, and therefore can complement her Osteopathic management with Pilates Rehabilitation.

 

In 2016, Chloe completed the Camino de Santiago, a 776km hike across Spain. Furthermore, she is actively involved in the CrossFit scene and Circus training. Through her keen interest, accomplishments and working environments, Chloe has particularly become interested in the treatment of the following conditions:

  • Wrist and Hand
  • Shoulder pain and pathology

Louise has developed a special interest in assisting people break the cycle of longstanding and recurring pain. Emerging research has reinforced her impression that effective ‘hands on’ therapy combined with exercise therapy and better understanding of their condition often helps clients reduce pain and improve quality of life. This led to the establishment of the Solutions for Wellbeing Centre in Kiama which combines a variety of injury recovery and health promoting services.

Louise was registered as an osteopath in 1981 and established a pain and injury practice in Sydney before moving to Kiama in 2001.

Stacey is currently undertaking her PHD at the University of Wollongong, investigating the health effects of dietary fiber. Prior to beginning her PHD, Stacey completed her Master of Science (Nutrition and dietetics) at the University of Wollongong in 2013, and a Bachelor of Science (Biological Science) at the University of Western Sydney in 2009.

Abbey has pursued her career as an Exercise Physiologist as she believes in the power of exercise to improve not only physical health but mental health and self confidence. Abbey has a special interest in using Pilates for rehabilitation and general wellbeing.  Abbey has a background in contemporary dance and enjoys working with gymnasts, dancers and other athletes on their rehabilitation and conditioning.

A highlight of Abbey’s career has been volunteering at a health centre in Fiji, offering exercise physiology services to remote communities. Another highlight has been volunteering for Recovery Camp, a camp dedicated to adults with a severe mental illness.

Abbey has grown up on a small farm in rural NSW with a love of the outdoors.  She currently bush walks, surfs and snorkels, as well as doing Pilates to keep her mind and body healthy.

Thia joined Solutions for Wellbeing on the 14th of October 2017. She is an ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist, holding a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology from the University of Wollongong. Thia is passionate about providing active treatment and encouraging health management to the clients here at solutions. Thia has gained experience in a variety of contexts, including Cardiac Rehab Clinic at Royal North Shore Hospital as well as Ryde Hospital where she developed skills to prescribe to individuals following cardiac surgical intervention, as well as chronic cardiorespiratory conditions.

Thia has dealt with numerous musculoskeletal, neurologic and metabolic conditions through her university training and placement at a local private rehabilitation clinic.  Thia has a keen interest in the Mental Health field, leading her to seek further experience at South Coast Private Hospital.
